We are here for you at the office of Paul Mundl, DDS, especially during emergencies.

Though nobody wishes an emergency on anyone, they do happen. You need to be prepared. Just a little knowledge could be the difference between losing and saving your tooth. It is also important to know our number or have it close!

You need to contact us right away if you are having an emergency! If we are not open, go to the nearest emergency center.

Whenever you lose a permanent tooth, you need to keep it wet. If you are able, place it back into the socket. You can also keep it between your cheek and teeth or place it in milk to try to save it.

Whenever you have blood in your mouth, it is a good idea to rinse your mouth with warm water. You can always place a warm compress to help reduce swelling. Whenever you have something stuck, you should try to use floss instead of something sharp!

You should do everything you can to protect your teeth. Mouthguards are helpful during sports and other physical activities. You shouldn’t chew hard foods that might break a tooth. Never tear or cut anything using your teeth. That is what scissors are for.

If you have a dental emergency, contact us immediately at (951) 676-1232.
